About Tim Griffin
“Mister Above and Beyond” – some suggest this would be a good name for Tim.
As of summer 2010 Tim Griffin began living and working in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. He is a student of language and culture with an eye toward what it takes to do business in developing countries.
Together with his passion for people he actively looks for ways to improve, build on and discover new ways of getting things done. You can see various posts about his language and cultural learning on his personal blog.
Tim’s journey into online strategy, communicate, design and development began with asking the question, “How do I do ____”. The blank was filled in with a number of things like -
- 1. How do I build a personal website without hideous adds and full featured function?
- 2. Send beautiful email without losing my mind – no third party adds and without bogging people down with huge attachments?
- 3. Get my website in the first page of relevant search engine results?
- 4. Write things that people actually want to read?
- …and many more.
The questions keep going and going and going, finding answers is a passion you could say. Once found, answers have become an opportunity for helping others achieve significant results.
2005 Tim interned for 6 months under a fantastic web developer learning and applying Search Engine Optimization strategy.
In 2006 Mission: Communicate was established to empower further pursuit and refining of the tools and resources available.
